Today our first location is at kampar old town,a place that give people the feeling to far away for city and familiar to all of the Utarian. Kampar old town is quite tradition place which has old buildings and some traditional food. We stopped at this special egg tarts shop with the name ET Egg Tart.
ET egg tart biscuit shop, we take around 15min to arrived there from UTAR. We felt surprised with the various biscuits in a smaller shop and it make us starving.

The boss of this shop was so kind, she show us the famous biscuit "Egg Tart" in her shop with few flavor. We took a photo with her before we start to grab for the egg tart.
Mini egg tart in the house~~ This mini size egg tarts looks same with others but they really taste different. Crispy skin and the pastry compliments was just right filling which practically melts in your mouth as it goes in.
There are 2 flavour of mini egg tart, original and pandan~~Mini pandan egg tart is quite fresh to all egg tarts lover who wish to try out something new.

We also spotted the normal size egg tarts in this shop. Although they are normal size but they are a bit bigger compare to others egg tart in the market. Same as mini egg tart, they are crispy and can feel more the egg pastry.

And this were other biscuits from her shop, they make us to found back the taste of the food in our childhood memories.
Oishi 2: Restaurant Yau Kee
First of all, we think most of you should heard about the famous food "Curry Chicken in Bun" before right? Tonight our group wanna bring all of you to have dinner in Restaurant Yau Kee which is one of Kampar signature dish. Restaurant Yau Kee is a restaurant which serves halal-food that you wish to order plus with buns. The business in this restaurant is brisk and it’s like all hot-selling items outlets.
Restaurant Yau Kee located at Jalan Pasar in Kampar old town which just make a few turns and you will not miss this large and corner restaurant.
The curry chicken buns that stored in the glass cupboard are really attract our eyes.
The first dish was this 'Curry Chicken Bun'. It was so attracting when it is served on our table. The outer bread skin is baked until brownish colour which is just right to be served.
It is quite a big piece even though we ordered a small size bun and the curry chicken inside is also quite a generous portion. The curry is fantastic because it is not very hot and suitable for kids which doesn't has overpowering smell of spices. It is extra tasty after the soft bun had dipped into the curry.

We also ordered others famous dishes of the restaurant, this is 'Yam Duck Noodles'. First time we try a food with the combination of duck and yam, it give us a fabulous taste from the chewy of the yam and the freshness of the duck. Its taste definitely gave our tongues a feeling which would be very difficult to remove.

Next, this is a quite familiar dish in every chinese restaurant, that is 'Hiong Dai Meehoon'. The meehoon was fried until crispy and ready to be served with the gravy sauce which enhances the taste of the meehoon which took the dish to another level. Meehoon and the sauce just like a couple that cannot be separated and so do we were enjoying this delicious couple.

The last dish that we ordered was 'Yau Kee Noodle'. The boss introduce this noodle to us because it is the famous dish of this restaurant. This noodle full of ingredients such as fresh prawns, bean sprouts, eggs, onions and chicken slices. The noodle was slightly look alike with the noodle of 'Wan Tan Mee' but this is more chewy and the gravy sauce had dissolved in the noodle.
There are few artists and famous food experts from overseas had visited to Restaurant Yau Kee before.

Oishi 3: Teluk Intan Famous 'Liew Kee Chee Cheong Fun'
After finish our oishi trip in Kampar, we feel still not enough for this journey. We decided to proceed to the next station. The last station for our trip today is Teluk Intan!! As we know that 'Chee Cheong Fun' is a quite common food among all chinese food, but this 'Chee Cheong Fun' in Teluk Intan is a special one which only preserved vegetable, wish to have a try?

This is 'Liew Kee Chee Cheong Fun' which is the famous in Teluk Intan which just available at night.
This is the process to make this delicious and special 'Chee Cheong Fun'. The workers prepare two bowl ingredients as shown in the above picture which are the main ingredients of chee cheong fun that is dry shrimp and radish.
The 'white skin' of chee cheong fun is made from flour and water and it will first pour on to a flat tray.
The dry shrimp and radish are then add on top of the flour skin averagely.
After all are prepared, the trays with the ingredients will send to this big steamer before they are ready to serve.
'Chee Cheong Fun' is ready!! It really make us swallow down our saliva. The dry shrimp and radish looks so attracting after steamed and enhances the taste of the flour skin. You are suggested to eat this chee cheong fun with the preserve chili that they provide to us which was just exactly match with the chee cheong fun.

Oishi Last : Teluk Intan 'Char Kuey Teow'
After the special 'chee cheong fun', still cannot satisfied our hunger so we are searching for supper and we met a little stall with crowded. Finally we found out that is 'char kuey teow'. This little stall is operated by a old couple at the roadside of Jalan Sungai Nibong. The wife had been frying 'char kuey teow' for 40 years and although her whole body was shaking ,rattling and rolling so much but she was still really enjoying herself selling 'char kuey teow' to us.

This is the little stall of this 'char kuey teow' beside the road. It's really hard to find if you are not familiar with the road in Teluk Intan.
The wife really use her heart to fried because she wants to bring the delicious 'char kuey teow' to everyone. She was too busy all along the night.
The most differences with this 'char kuey teow' was tat the old wife added some seafood flavor and self-made asam into the char kuey teow. It's really tasty and looks fresh. The prawns are so fresh and juicy although had been fried and the fragrant 'kuey teow' can practically leave in your mouth.

Come to the end of our oishi trip today~~We enjoy a lot searching for food all around in Kampar and Teluk Intan. We now only realized that there are many hidden food of the place we thought that we are familiar with. We wish to bring more exciting and delicious food to all of you in the future.
