Oishi 1: Kampar Old Town ET Egg Tart
Today our first location is at kampar old town,a place that give people the feeling to far away for city and familiar to all of the Utarian. Kampar old town is quite tradition place which has old buildings and some traditional food. We stopped at this special egg tarts shop with the name ET Egg Tart.
ET egg tart biscuit shop, we take around 15min to arrived there from UTAR. We felt surprised with the various biscuits in a smaller shop and it make us starving.
The boss of this shop was so kind, she show us the famous biscuit "Egg Tart" in her shop with few flavor. We took a photo with her before we start to grab for the egg tart.

Mini egg tart in the house~~ This mini size egg tarts looks same with others but they really taste different. Crispy skin and the pastry compliments was just right filling which practically melts in your mouth as it goes in.

There are 2 flavour of mini egg tart, original and pandan~~Mini pandan egg tart is quite fresh to all egg tarts lover who wish to try out something new.
PRICE: RM4.50 (6 pieces)
We also spotted the normal size egg tarts in this shop. Although they are normal size but they are a bit bigger compare to others egg tart in the market. Same as mini egg tart, they are crispy and can feel more the egg pastry.
PRICE: RM1.50 per piece
And this were other biscuits from her shop, they make us to found back the taste of the food in our childhood memories.

Oishi 2: Restaurant Yau Kee
First of all, we think most of you should heard about the famous food "Curry Chicken in Bun" before right? Tonight our group wanna bring all of you to have dinner in Restaurant Yau Kee which is one of Kampar signature dish. Restaurant Yau Kee is a restaurant which serves halal-food that you wish to order plus with buns. The business in this restaurant is brisk and it’s like all hot-selling items outlets.

Restaurant Yau Kee located at Jalan Pasar in Kampar old town which just make a few turns and you will not miss this large and corner restaurant.
The curry chicken buns that stored in the glass cupboard are really attract our eyes.
The first dish was this 'Curry Chicken Bun'. It was so attracting when it is served on our table. The outer bread skin is baked until brownish colour which is just right to be served.
It is quite a big piece even though we ordered a small size bun and the curry chicken inside is also quite a generous portion. The curry is fantastic because it is not very hot and suitable for kids which doesn't has overpowering smell of spices. It is extra tasty after the soft bun had dipped into the curry.
PRICE: RM 28 (small)
        RM 42 (big)
We also ordered others famous dishes of the restaurant, this is 'Yam Duck Noodles'. First time we try a food with the combination of duck and yam, it give us a fabulous taste from the chewy of the yam and the freshness of the duck. Its taste definitely gave our tongues a feeling which would be very difficult to remove.
PRICE: RM 16 each
Next, this is a quite familiar dish in every chinese restaurant, that is 'Hiong Dai Meehoon'. The meehoon was fried until crispy and ready to be served with the gravy sauce which enhances the taste of the meehoon which took the dish to another level. Meehoon and the sauce just like a couple that cannot be separated and so do we were enjoying this delicious couple.
PRICE: RM 12 each
The last dish that we ordered was 'Yau Kee Noodle'. The boss introduce this noodle to us because it is the famous dish of this restaurant. This noodle full of ingredients such as fresh prawns, bean sprouts, eggs, onions and chicken slices. The noodle was slightly look alike with the noodle of 'Wan Tan Mee' but this is more chewy and the gravy sauce had dissolved in the noodle.
There are few artists and famous food experts from overseas had visited to Restaurant Yau Kee before.
We took a photo with the boss of Restaurant Yau Kee. He is such a kind and funny uncle.

This little stall is operated by a old couple at the roadside of Jalan Sungai Nibong. The wife had been frying 'char kuey teow' for 40 years and although her whole body was shaking ,rattling and rolling so much but she was still really enjoying herself selling 'char kuey teow' to us.
This is the little stall of this 'char kuey teow' beside the road. It's really hard to find if you are not familiar with the road in Teluk Intan.
The wife really use her heart to fried because she wants to bring the delicious 'char kuey teow' to everyone. She was too busy all along the night.
The most differences with this 'char kuey teow' was tat the old wife added some seafood flavor and self-made asam into the char kuey teow. It's really tasty and looks fresh. The prawns are so fresh and juicy although had been fried and the fragrant 'kuey teow' can practically leave in your mouth.

Finally after 2 hour journey from Ipoh, we reached our first destination which is Sitiawan. We were starving and thinking about the famous food there. So we plan to try this delicious Gong Pian Biscuit.
There are many ways in eating these biscuit. But for us, we like eating these biscuits, preferably, have them hot from the oven. When cold, the biscuits are tough, and chewy. In comparison, we had say a step below Sitiawan’s version.

The yummy Gong Pian biscuits are ready to be serve!!

Hard and crispy on the outside and stuffed with slightly salted fried onions.
We like it so much!!!So yummy!!

Oishi 2: Restoran Nasi Ayam Mama
It's lunch time!!!Around 12pm, we choose to drive to Seri Manjung which about 20 minutes away from Sitiawan town to this Nasi Ayam Mama restaurant.
It is a very popular HALAL restaurant, recommended by Malay colleagues as well as other races. The design of this restaurant is slightly same with Chinese restaurant and feels very Chinese oriented.
Nasi Ayam Biasa with a piece of chicken wing~~
PRICE: RM4.50 per plate
Nasi Ayam Special with a piece of roasted drumstick~~
PRICE: RM7.50 per plate
Nasi Ayam Mama is famous for the rice being fragrant and fluffy, resembling Hainanese chicken rice, while the roast chicken was flavoursome, with or without the gravy. The dipping sauces were right on as well, the chilli sauce being a little sweetish, and the bird's eye chillies in thick soy sauce was perfect to perk things up. The soup was a little too peppery for us to taste but we have no complaint for it.
We also tasted their laksa as well. It was a big portion and might to be shared by 2 person to finish it. A Little spicy and the flavour is delicious.

Pulau Pangkor fully deserves the name "Beautiful Island" as it is translated. Pangkor Island is a small island on the North West coast of Malaysia in the Straits of Malacca.
