Finally after 2 hour journey from Ipoh, we reached our first destination which is Sitiawan. We were starving and thinking about the famous food there. So we plan to try this delicious Gong Pian Biscuit.
There are many ways in eating these biscuit. But for us, we like eating these biscuits, preferably, have them hot from the oven. When cold, the biscuits are tough, and chewy. In comparison, we had say a step below Sitiawan’s version.
The yummy Gong Pian biscuits are ready to be serve!!
Hard and crispy on the outside and stuffed with slightly salted fried onions.
We like it so much!!!So yummy!!
PRICE: RM1 each piece
These savoury biscuits are one of the oldest favourites brought by the Hock Chew settlers from China. This shop successfully tweaked the original “Gong Pian” recipe to create what you will find sold at their shop today.PRICE: RM1 each piece
They were selling these in the evenings, so go for them in the afternoon-evenings!
Location : Ching Chin Koi@ 249, Main Road, Ayer Tawar, Perak.
Business Hour : 10am until sold out~~
Oishi 2: Restoran Nasi Ayam Mama
It is a very popular HALAL restaurant, recommended by Malay colleagues as well as other races. The design of this restaurant is slightly same with Chinese restaurant and feels very Chinese oriented.
Nasi Ayam Biasa with a piece of chicken wing~~
PRICE: RM4.50 per plate
Nasi Ayam Special with a piece of roasted drumstick~~
PRICE: RM7.50 per plate
Nasi Ayam Mama is famous for the rice being fragrant and fluffy, resembling Hainanese chicken rice, while the roast chicken was flavoursome, with or without the gravy. The dipping sauces were right on as well, the chilli sauce being a little sweetish, and the bird's eye chillies in thick soy sauce was perfect to perk things up. The soup was a little too peppery for us to taste but we have no complaint for it.
We also tasted their laksa as well. It was a big portion and might to be shared by 2 person to finish it. A Little spicy and the flavour is delicious.
PRICE: RM3.50 per bowl
Business Hour: 10am~12.30amLocation: 63-65, Persiaran Manjung 3/2, Taman Manjung Point Seksyen 3, 32040 Seri Manjung, Perak.
RELAX relax AT THE BEACH!!
After finish our lunch at Setiawan, we continue our journey to Pulau Pangkor. On the way to Pulau Pangkor, we all were very happy and cannot wait for the trip enjoy and relax ourselves at the beach.
Around 1pm, we had arrived at Lumut Jeti and we had bought the ferry ticket. The ticket cost RM10,it is a two way ticket. All of us were very excited because we all never take a ride on ferry before.
While waiting for the ferry, we took a funny photo~~
After few minutes, the ferry had arrived. We reached Pulau Pangkor after 30minutes.
Pulau Pangkor fully deserves the name "Beautiful Island" as it is translated. Pangkor Island is a small island on the North West coast of Malaysia in the Straits of Malacca. And I live only a few kilometers away in the little town of Sitiawan. There are a lot of water sports that we can play in Pulau Pangkor.
Oishi 3: Restaurant CoCo & Karaoke
We had played for about 3 hour and our stomach started to ''drum''. To treat our stomach,we had chosen a seafood restaurant--Restaurant CoCo & Karaoke, which is quite famous at Pulau Pangkor to have or dinner and you can enjoy singing there.
